In case anyone is concerned: We have some clumping litter tubs around the room, but all litter boxes contain non-clumping clay litter as recommended for nursing moms and young kittens.
Clara's Story:
We rescued Clara from a life on the streets on April 19th, 2017, and she now lives in a spare third floor office with her kittens, born on Friday, April 28th. They all get plenty of attention during office hours, and we often come back to visit again after work. On the weekends, we check in at least twice daily. We also monitor them using this stream along with security cameras.
The third floor is also home to two other cats: Lily and Stumpy. They're sisters from the same litter, and Clara has the same mother (a neighborhood stray who we have since caught as well; she is pregnant again and awaiting her own foster family for her and her litter, due any day now). We adopted and fixed Lily in February 2016, while Stumpy had her own litter of kittens in the spare office last June. Three of the kittens went to adoptive homes and two now live at our house. We sometimes post pictures of the other cats on Instagram/Facebook and we try to post daily pictures of Clara and her kittens.
About us:
We're experienced cat owners who seem to attract stray cats in need. Once our own house was full, we decided to foster and find homes for the cats and kittens that just kept coming. We both have full-time jobs on top of caring for these fosters (along with our own pets), so this is truly a labor of love. Thanks for your support! - Melanie & Robert
